It was a brand new day. June was ready for her first day of work. She had prepared herself some lunch the night before. She had 4 hours to be up and ready and she did that. She went to the toilet and had a shower. Then got changed and read some books she borrowed. She had bought a bookshelf to store them.
She looked up from her reading and saw her boss, Kayaan Basu, fishing. His skin was sweltering, only a certain creature acted like that.
Kayaan was a merman! She decided to invite him to a pool after work, to test her theory. She pretended not to stare and went back to reading. Hour after hour his skin sweltered until he finally left.
June’s phone rang. It was Fiddle Co. they wer offering free earbuds. She eagerly accepted then went back to reading. Then the time came. She had to get up and walk to Willow Creek Archives.
She returned home with more than 200 cash at hand. She was only supposed to recieve 200 a day. She had work brilliantly so Kayaan promoted her. The best thing she did was fix up the latest news story, it had many errors in it. June called up Kayaan and asked him if he wanted to go to the pool with her and meet her boyfriend, Don. He agreed.
Kayaan didn’t show up. Guess he didn’t want the supposed “Mermaid Hunters” to get him. Yeah, likely story! Atleast June and Don had some time to grow closer. As Don and June grew closer together in June’s eyes, Don was nearing his breaking point. When will he break off? Or will he? She performed a swan dive but she failed miserably.
Don: Hey babe, where’s that boss of yours?
June: Didn’t show up. Maybe he’s scared.
Don: Of the dark? Heh.
June: No not of the dark of Mermaid Hunters!
Boy: Mermaid Hunters?
June: Please don’t listen in child.
Lucas: I shall do what I want. My name is Lucas Munch and you can’t tell me what I can and can’t do!
Dennis: Hi, I’m Dennis. Sorry, Lucas doesn’t behave well.
June and Don: No problem
That’s when it ended. Don and her ended. A little fun in the closet and POOF they blew up.
